Los Cabos sits at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. The destination centres on Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, connected by a coastal corridor. Casa Picasso is in Pedregal, on the Cabo San Lucas side.
San José del Cabo
Explore the historic centre, galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. An afternoon of art followed by dinner makes a lovely change of pace.
The coastal corridor
The stretch between the two towns is home to beaches, coves, resorts, and golf. Plan transport when combining stops along the coast.

Chileno
A cove along the corridor to consider for swimming and snorkelling when conditions allow.
Santa María
A sheltered bay framed by rocky headlands, popular for snorkelling and time by the water.
Palmilla
Another protected-cove option to consider when planning a beach outing towards San José del Cabo.
Choose your beach for the activity. Not every Cabo beach is suitable for swimming. Strong surf and currents can affect even familiar spots. Follow beach flags, lifeguards, and local advice on the day; a beautiful shoreline is not a guarantee of safe water.

The San José Art Walk
The Gallery District’s Art Walk traditionally runs on Thursday evenings from November through June. Check the current programme before planning your night around it.
Leave time to browse independent galleries and shops. At the villa, private dining can bring your evening together without another journey.

Head up the Pacific coast for galleries, shops, historic streets, and a leisurely meal. Give it a full day if you want to explore without rushing.
Cabo Pulmo
A protected marine park on the East Cape, known for reef-based diving and snorkelling. Treat it as a dedicated excursion with advance transport and a local operator.
A day in San José
An easy idea for a change of scene: explore the historic centre, browse galleries, and stay for dinner. Add the seasonal Art Walk when it fits your dates.
Day-trip timing depends on the route, traffic, and activity. Ask for a realistic door-to-door plan from the villa before booking.

Spring
Warmer days invite time outdoors and beach visits. The Art Walk season usually continues into June.
Summer
Hotter days call for early outings, shaded lunches, and pool time. Leave flexibility for heat and changing weather.
Autumn
Warm water and evenings outdoors can be part of the appeal. Weather can still affect excursions, especially during the late-summer and early-autumn storm period.
